Reunion Blues gigbags

I will eventually need a nice gigbag for a special guitar I'm going to have built. I have been looking for nice gigbags online (a bit pointless, I know). I came across a brand called Reunion Blues. Their models look very nice but the price is really hefty. Is it worth spending more than £$100 for a gigbag? Any experience with the brand?

I own 6 RBX reunion blues cases- 2 Dual electric, 2 acoustic, 1 bass, and 1 for my 335. I make a living carrying my dual electric all over Nashville, 6-7 days per week, often with the front pocket stuff full of stuff, from deli sandwiches in Tupperware, a change of clothes, my Ipad. I'm perfectly happy with mine, and I have about 3 years of intense use with it. Durable, and I think my guitars are as safe in there as they would be anywhere else.

I was going to get the double electric but my extended range guitars are too long so I'll have to get the mono.

The Continental Voyager is the best in the market. Closest I felt is Basiner, then you have the string of same-y Mono Gator Gruv etc.

Happy Reunion Blues customer here, only good things to say about their gigbags. My Gibson J45 TV has been perfectly safe in it for years now. It's a bit heavy, but it's practical, durable and extremely safe. I love it.

While I am not a gig bag person, I do have a Reunion Blues light weight Gravity gig bag for carry my PRS semi-solid 594 to and from work. I got it because these "zero-gravity" cases offer enough protection, but are light weight enough for the job. The case has semi-solid sides, is very well padded, and protects the guitar enough that I don't have to worry about it.
The only reason I bought the gig bag is because the case the PRS comes in weighs as much as a boat anchor, and is a bit clumsy in size.
I still carry my Gibson guitars in their hard cases, and prefer the Gibsons.

Well worth it. I've tried 'em all and RB is, IMO, the best.

These look great too. Never heard of them, thanks for sharing!

Own one. Love it.

I have the cheaper Reunion Blues RBX case for my Reverend Manta Ray semihollow body. It's nice and gets the job done for carting around town. I wouldn't use it for serious touring and it's nowhere near as sturdy as my Mono case but it was also half the price.

Yes, RBX here for my tele and semi-hollows. Great bags for everyday, around town use.
If I needed real protection for touring or loading everything into a band van, I'd use a hardcase..

Is it worth spending more than £100 for a gig bag? Well, if you spend maybe 20 times that for a guitar then it sure makes sense to me to have a decent case for it that will protect your instrument and last a long time.
The thing is that you need to figure out what you need a case to do. Is it for a guitar that never leaves the house? Maybe you take it around every day on public transportation. Do you also have to be prepared to check it as luggage on flights? The answers to these questions (and what your budget allows) are what guides you to choose a case.
Besides RB you'll see MONO cases most often as the other reasonably professional case option (there are others but as far as I know these are the two most available ones). I've owned a MONO case for years and it's been great. RB and MONO seem to be about the same as far as function and construction quality goes so they are both worth considering. What made me choose the MONO (for a 335 type guitar) is that the shoulder straps are attached to the case a bit higher than the RB which means that the guitar sits lower on my back. This makes getting through doorways and subway turnstiles easier to do without bashing the top of the case into anything. I think the RB might be more comfortable though for walking longer distances. I guess that depends on how tall you are. See if you can try cases in person and decide which one fits your case strategy the best.
Good luck!

I have one of their old leather gig bags, bought it actually at their old facility in San Francisco(was in the mid 90's). I saw Clapton and Buddy Guy using the same model as well. Still have it, great gig bag and still looking great. I think I paid something like $300, never regretted it.

I have two, a Continental Voyager and a Continental. Both are top quality and darn near bulletproof. I've had some concern about zipper closures but so far no problem.

i have a Reunion Blues Continental gigbag that i got in 2012 & have used/abused constantly, including shows in 13 countries, many flights where it needed to get gatechecked, and countless times transported with other gear in a car or van. i have never had any issues and definitely never noticed the slightest damage to the guitars it was transporting. i can't recommend it enough!

I've had the same bag for 30 years. It's been to hundreds and hundreds of gigs. yes at one point the zipper tab broke, but the bag itself is still 100%. totally worth the money.
